Sagada

Sagada situated in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Northern Luzon of the Philippines province of Mt. Province. It is a 6 hours travel if you came from Baguio.I already forgot the exact amount of fare Baguio- Sagada. I think that was 200 by that time, one route.
Actually,  I visited Sagada last 2010 with my college friends.
I joined their group because it'll be cheaper going them rather than touring it all by myself.
On our way to Sagada, I was fascinated by these green environment.

Virgin forests to be restored for the next generations.

On our way to Sumaging Cave with my college friends.

Group picture while going inside the Sumaging Cave.

You must wear a short and slipper when your planning to go to the cave because of the water inside and don't bring valuable things likes gadgets inside because it might get wet. The water is so cold. The cave attendants will ask you to remove your slippers before entering because stone formations are slippery.

Here are some of the stone formations inside the Sumaging cave. Oopps, don't be  green :D

Other captured stone formations.

I love this stone formations.

The tricky one while inside the cave was when your going to tightly hold on the rope to pass the obstacle. It was so hard for us since the stones were slippery and all of your muscles should cooperate to make through it.

Wooh!

After the cave experience, we went to the Hanging Coffins. It was a walking distance from Sumaging Cave.
According to the natives of Sagada, those coffins are made of their ancestors many years ago where they put the dead bodies of their family. They hang it in that cave, that's why it was called "Hanging Coffins."

The Lumiang Cave where those Hanging Coffins were stored.

After conquering those spots, we decided to went home.Unfortunately, we're not informed that at 1pm there's a cut of transportation. Therefore we walked from the town proper of Sagada up to the house of my friend. That was a long "walkathon", from 1:30 pm until 6pm.Tsss....
Sagada is a very nice and quiet place surrounded by mountains. It is colder compared in the City of Pines,Baguio because of  its virgin forests surrounding the place.
I stayed Sagada 3D/2N  because I have to go to Bicol to spend my Christmas vacation with my family. But my friends stayed there for about 5 days because they're going to have a research.
I wasn't able to go the Bumod-Ok falls because I really have to go home.

I already forgot the exact amount of expenses staying in Sagada, but I think it'll be around 1000-1500 pesos (inn not included). We stayed in the house of our friend, that's why it was a cheap travel for me.
